# How to Delete Log Files on a Density Meter

## Follow the steps to delete the log files from a densiy meter.

**Step 1 – Getting Ready**

Connect a keyboard and mouse to the density meter.

**Step 2 – Turn Disk Protection Off**

1. Select Menu – if prompted, enter the passcode 123
2. Select Operational Parameters
3. Select Instrument Configuration
4. Select Control Panel
5. Select Turn Disk Protection Off
6. Select Yes (the instrument will reboot)

**Step 3 – Delete the Log Files**

1. Select Menu – if prompted, enter the passcode 123
2. Select Operational Parameters
3. Select Instrument Configuration
4. Select Control Panel
5. Select Windows Explorer
6. Select Local Disk (C:)
7. **Select (DO NOT DELETE)** the Density Folder
8. Single click to select and **highlight** the **Log folder** **(do not open the folder).**
9. While holding the Shift key, press the Delete key to delete the **Log folder**.
10. Close out the Windows Explorer window by clicking on the X located on the upper right side of the window and return to the instrument’s main menu.

**Step 4 – Turn Disk Protection On**

1. Select Menu – if prompted, enter the passcode 123
2. Select Operational Parameters
3. Select Instrument Configuration
4. Select Control Panel
5. Select Turn Disk Protection Off
6. Select Yes (the instrument will reboot)
