      Step-by-step instructions to perform a preventive maintenance on a J275/357/457 Refractometer.

      Guidelines for Executing Preventive Maintenance in Accordance with the User Manual


      1. Remove any contaminants from the equipment by using Windex or alcohol to clean off any foreign material.
      2. Inspect and replace all consumables.
        -Fan Filter P20018.
        -Desiccant P20245.
      3. Check LED References (Section 6 from the User Manual A24145 Rev O).
      4. Reset the M and B (Refer to Pg. 90 from the User Manual A24145 Rev O).
      5. Reset Factory Settings or QMC. (Refer to Page 91 from the User Manual A24145 Rev O).
      6. Perform 2-point calibration. (Refer to page 80 from the User Manual A24145 Rev O).
      7. Ensure that the calibration is saved in the Factory Settings. (Refer to page 198 from the User Manual A214145 Rev O).
      8. Complete the Certified Fluids Kit testing and document the outcomes for each calibration fluid.
